After graduating from Purdue University in 1995, Grant and his wife, Lea, moved to rural Linn County in 1998. Still residing in the first home they purchased together, they continue to enjoy and love the rural lifestyle.
Grant started in Real Estate in 2013, selling rural Iowa property, and it has been the most enjoyable job he has ever had. Assisting buyers and sellers realize their goals is an awesome responsibility. Rural Iowa property has that specialness and connectivity that can’t be found anywhere else. Being a fellow landowner lends additional insight to the connectedness we all feel, and value to how much assistance he can provide.
His RLI membership as well as achieving his ALC designation are benchmarks that he is very proud of. The ALC designation is not only a representation of the quality of work that performed, but also serves as a “masters in land sales.” Additionally, achieving the Apex Award from RLI in 2022 speaks to his ability to sell real estate at a high level.
Selling many million dollars of land speaks to the desirability of Iowa land, but also to representing customers and clients in the best possible way. Aside from working, Grant enjoys being a father, husband, outdoorsman, landowner, and an archery coach for the local team. Welcoming his first child in 2011 has been one of the greatest joys of his life. I look forward to serving you in all of your real estate needs!
Andy Hoge
Auctioneer
Andy was born into the auction business; his Grandfather started auctioning in 1955. His father bought into the business in 1975, which was then purchased by Andy in 2011 and is still in operation. Andy sold his first auction in front of a crowd at age 15, and before that, was at nearly all of his father’s auctions helping with everything else from set up/tear down, to ring man, and clerking/cashiering. Andy is married and has 3 kids, and tries to incorporate them into the auctions when they aren’t busy with sports.
Andy has conducted several Estate auctions, selling all of their farm machinery, tools, and household items. Adding real estate to his toolbox will make Prime Land Auction LLC a one stop shop. He has also conducted several business retirement/close out auctions selling their assets and inventory.
After 30 years in the auction business, Andy has seen an immense amount of change, and has always been able to adapt to the industry market. One of the biggest changes over the years would have to be the addition of online bidding to the auctions, which he has adapted to and was actually ahead of the curve with. Andy was already conducting online auctions before the Covid pandemic forced everyone to use it. He has easily sold over 50 million dollars of equipment and personal property.
Ultimately, Andy grew up on a farm and was raised feeding cattle and hogs. This is why he is so driven to help people disperse of their property at great prices with honesty and integrity.
CJ Eldred
Land Agent
CJ Eldred is a dedicated Land Agent, leveraging his unique background and passion for the outdoors to assist clients in achieving their land goals. Growing up in rural eastern Iowa, CJ developed a deep appreciation for the land and its resources, which has fueled his career in real estate.
CJ went to the University of Iowa to play baseball and also earned his degree in Environmental Policy and Planning. In 2017, CJ was signed by the Kansas City Royals. He pitched for seven years in professional baseball, just recently retiring in spring of 2024.
Now residing in Marion, Iowa, with his wife, Olivia and two children. CJ is committed to helping buyers and sellers navigate the land market. His extensive knowledge of the area, combined with his passion for hunting, farming, and the outdoors, allows him to provide valuable insights to clients seeking to buy or sell land.
